Madame du Barry

Jeanne Bécu de Cantigny, also known under the name of Mademoiselle de Vaubernier,
was born in August 1743 at Vaucouleurs in France. By her marriage with Guillaume du Barry, she became countess du Barry and the last maîtresse-en-titre of Louis XV. The young woman was famous for her angelic face and natural charisma.
She was executed in December 1793

during the era following the French Revolution and called the Reign of Terror.
