I recently came to an understanding that the people around me don’t know as much about me as I first thought. As a precautionary measure, both Hawkins and Jones went through scuba diving training to prepare them for the extended underwater sequence…. “In the end, we ended up not using the scuba equipment because the water was only about maybe seven to eight feet deep- I’m six-foot-three as it is, so Sally and I could just take ourselves to the surface for air and the come back down. You’re at the surface on “Action” and you blow all the air out of your lungs on the way down and you stay down and do the scene. It’s shocking how long you can stay underwater when there’s a camera rolling and you know you need to. You can hear your heart beating, and you’re waiting for that megaphone to hit the water and hear ‘Cut’ so you can get yourself back to the surface” Jones explains.
